Notivation ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal note-taking and decision-making application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Notivation stores all your data locally on your device using IndexedDB. We do not operate any servers, cloud databases, or backend services. Your notes, decisions, action items, and all personal content never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export them.
Notivation offers optional AI-powered features (summarization, tagging, decision analysis). These features require you to provide your own API key for one of the supported services (Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude). When you use these features:
Notivation offers Pro subscriptions through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google respectively. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
Notivation supports Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint authentication to protect your notes. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system. We never access, store, or transmit biometric data.
Notivation allows you to attach photos to your notes using your device camera or photo library. Photos are stored locally on your device as part of your note data. They are never uploaded to any server.
Notivation may send local notifications for due dates, daily summaries, and follow-ups. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server communication.
You can export your data as JSON or Markdown files. These exports are generated locally and saved to your device. We have no access to your exported files.
Notivation is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
